Reginald Fieldy "Snuts"Arvizu was born on November
2,1970 in Bakersfield, California while on a tour his father was performing. He is known for his heavy drinking. "Anybody
that drinks beer in their band, we're fucking tight friends." As a child, Fieldy was a weirdo with exotic musical tastes.
He enjoyed Afrika-Bambaata and Parliament/Funkadelic. "My sound is more like a drummer. I'm a percussion-sounding bass
player. A lot of times people think that what they're hearing is drums and it's actually in the bass. For instance, when
Les Claypool (of Primus) heard some of the new stuff, like "B.B.K." he said. "That's a pretty cool double kick! And
it wasn't, it was my bass." Fieldy is the only left handed member of KoRn, yet he plays the bass right handed. The majority
of Fieldys bass riffs are hip hop inspired. He says h egets inspiration from any thing hip hop. On the business side of Korn,
Fieldy does all the T-shirt designs, hates, stickers, patches, everything. He will come up with a bunch of designs, show them
to the band and they either approve or disapprove. Fieldys first job was selling plants door to door, and after that he cleaned
carpets. Fieldy is known for his alcohol related antics. For instance, on a photo shoot, a bucket had to be found in case
he threw up. Q: What do you like about touring clubs? A: The free beer. At the end of May 1998, Fieldy married
his girlfriend, Shela (now divorced). Together they had two daughters. When Fieldy was asked about his nickname,
he said "When I was younger, I had these fucking chipmunk cheeks, right... so they called me 'Gopher', and then it became
'Garf'. Then they started callin' me 'Garfield'. Then it became 'Fieldy'." On the album, his name is Fieldy Snuts. When
asked whether the fans ever become annoying, asking for autographs etc, Fieldy says "think of your favorite band when
you were a kid, and they were all like..get away from me.. you'd be crushed". Fieldy is afraid of flying. In fact, the
entire band is. So they all make sure they are very wasted before the flight. Fieldy's favorite song is Freak On A Leash.
When asked what 5 albums he'd like to be stranded on an island with he says "The new Korn record, of course. Chris Rock's
live comedy album. The biggest old school hip-hop compilation you could get, so I could have a variety of a bunch of shit.,Psycho
Realm, and Erykah Badu Live." Fieldy's like to go driving his Mercedes E320, riding in speed boats and playing Dreamcast,
especially UFC for Dreamcast with his friend Tito Ortiz. Tito is the current light-weight champion of the UFC, and is the
subject of one song on Fieldys Dreams, Ortiz Anthem. Fieldy was on G4TVs players, with Tito. How Fieldy feels on performing:"It's
just intense the whole time. Sometimes I'll be walking off stage and I'll be throwing up.I've thrown up a couple of times
on stage, too. It's just because it's so intense being up there. Sometimes I will be throwing up before we play, too."
Fieldy released his own hip-hop album called "Fieldy's Dreams", in January of 2002. He plays all the instruments,
along with contributing vocals. The album features many Hip Hop artists including Helluva, Sondoobie, Tre, Angela Rascoe,
RBK, and Polarbear. Fieldy is currently working on his second solo CD entitled "Fieldys Nightmare", which will be
about the darker side of life.
